United will be reducing flight schedules during the shutdown as the Federal Aviation Administration looks to maintain safety across the country as many of their workers remain in furlough.

United Airlines has announced it will preemptively cancel roughly 200 flights for Friday; that breaks down to about 4% of the carrier’s planned schedule. Delta Air Lines is also canceling around 170 regional and mainline flights on Friday. Southwest will cancel about 100 flights.
